Sunday Memory

“Dimanche” is “Sunday” in French. It rhymes with “blanche”, which is white in French. White like lace socks and patent shoes. White like frilly lace dresses with huge bows. White like my mother’s patent clutch. And before you know it, I’m 8 again, and it’s time to go to church.

Today, Dimanche means the end of Spring break and a return to papers, prelims, tests, obligations, long nights and God knows what else 😦

What does Sunday mean to you?

Sunday means rests, it is always that one day when I feel like I can completely relax. I usually make a big breakfast, sit at the table listen to music, connect with the family, and clean! No matter what the weather…I love Sunday’s it makes me feel like the week is going to be a great!!! Sunday’s are like God’s gift to me for making it through the previous one and for that I am thankful.
