Back to our regularly scheduled program

This was definitely one of the most interesting writer’s block periods I’ve had. I definitely felt like one of those frustrated writers in movies, with floors littered with crumbled sheets of paper. In my case, it’s countless drafts edited, re-edited, deleted and abandoned. I’m glad I found things to write about again.

Who wouldn’t gain inspiration listening to Sauti Sol, the Kenyan band with a great acoustic feel. It’s Bien-Aimé, Delvin, Willis and Polycarp creating great music (yes, I like to pretend I’m on a first-name basis with my favorite artists). Please, do learn more about them if you have no idea what I’m talking about.

Their second album, Sol Filosofia, is out. Which makes me want to scream “Finally!”, but I’m pretty sure it takes a lot to put out an album. Anyway, I think it was worth the wait.
